I’m Coco Wang. Normally I don’t write long stories, but this one stuck with me, so I’ll just jot it down.

It all started in July 2025. I got a message from a guy in Senegal. He’d seen one of our Google Ads and wanted to know about our buses. The message was short. No big intro, no company info — just a simple question about the preowned Yutong ZK6121.

At first, I wasn’t sure. Some people message just to look around. But something made me think he might be serious, so I replied right away. I told him who I was, that we had many used buses in stock, and sent him some photos.

Seeing the Bus in Person

A few days later, he said he wanted to visit the yard. That was a good sign. I remember the day was hot and sticky. Walking around, showing him the buses… it felt like any other day, but also a little exciting because you never know if someone will really buy.

We had four Yutong ZK6121 buses available, all owned directly by us. One of them was recently sourced. I told him a bit about it — it used to belong to Huixian Senior High School in Xinxiang, Henan. It had been a staff bus for teachers, which meant it wasn’t overworked. I think that gave him confidence.

He walked around slowly, looking at every detail. Tires, windows, seats, even the engine. I started it up, and the engine sounded steady. He nodded quietly. Not much was said, but I could tell he liked it.

Coffee and Questions

After inspecting the bus, we sat down for coffee nearby. He had questions — a lot of them.

“How do I know it will arrive the same way?”
“What documents do I need for export?”
“Can I see maintenance history?”

I answered as best I could, sometimes showing him photos, sometimes pulling up files. I even told him a story about another African client who had the same worries but got their bus safely. I think stories help more than charts or promises.

He didn’t rush me, and I didn’t rush him. That’s the way I like it. You can feel the difference between a serious buyer and someone just browsing.

The Waiting Game

Then came the waiting. He didn’t decide right away. Over the next few weeks, we exchanged messages on WhatsApp. Sometimes he asked for extra photos, sometimes a video of the engine starting, sometimes he just said he was thinking.

I admit, there were moments I wondered if he would confirm. But I kept replying quickly. Even small delays can make a buyer doubt you. Patience really matters.

Finally, on August 19, he messaged me: “I will take that ZK6121.”

I smiled and read it again to make sure. One bus. That was all he needed.

Why He Chose It

Later, he told me why.

  • The bus was in good condition. School buses are usually taken care of, and it showed.
  • The comfortwas still good — seats, air conditioning, everything worked.
  • Most importantly, he trusted me.

The trust part made me happiest. Because no matter how good the bus is, without trust, the deal wouldn’t happen.

Lessons Learned

Even though it was just one bus, this order reminded me why I like my job:

  • People don’t buy buses, they buy confidence.
  • Patience wins. Sometimes it takes weeks.
  • Details matter. A photo of the engine or a maintenance file can make a big difference.

It’s not just selling vehicles. It’s helping someone feel sure about a big decision, even if they’re thousands of kilometers away.

Final Thoughts

So now the Yutong ZK6121 is on its way to Senegal. I hope it serves him well. I feel proud, not because it was a big sale, but because the process worked. We communicated, he asked questions, I answered, and trust was built.

If you’re thinking about buying a used bus from a China preowned bus supplier, here’s my advice:

  • Ask everything you need. Don’t be shy.
  • Check the bus history. A school bus is different from a public bus.
  • Ask for photos or videos. That’s normal.

That’s how my Senegal client did it, and it worked out.
